    Description

    French faience scalloped-rim melonniere -- a centerpiece or serving bowl -- in Gien’s rare antique Mallows design, entirely hand-painted with colorful blooms. Colors include white, bordeaux, sapphire blue, sky, ochre, green and brown. Suitable for hanging. Marked "Gien France" with a company mark used beginning in 1875. Near excellent antique condition.
    Note on condition: This bowl is in excellent vintage condition except for minor rim glaze chips and nicks.
